Description: Hotel California is one of the most popular guitar songs the world over with what is considered one of the greatest guitar solos of all time. It was written by Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Don Felder and since its release in 1976, the album has sold over 16 million copies in the US alone. In this lesson we take a look at a simplified version of the song learning the most recognizable parts. The strong rhythm part of the song sets the feel and finger picking is played to add to the overall feel of the song. This lesson will introduce the beginner guitarist to barre chords and challenge the intermediate guitarist with some finger picking and single note picking. Running time: 40:50 minutes
